Hyundai's second high-performance EV, the IONIQ 6 N, made its global debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, solidifying the brand’s future-forward commitment to electrified performance. Building on the foundation laid by the IONIQ 5 N, this new model is more than just a faster sedan—it is an embodiment of Hyundai N’s refined design and engineering philosophy.

At its core, the IONIQ 6 N delivers precision handling, track-ready dynamics, and everyday comfort. It’s built for drivers who want performance without compromise, combining power and poise in a way that few EVs currently offer.

Powertrain and Performance

The IONIQ 6 N features an 84 kWh battery powering dual motors that produce a staggering 650 PS (478 kW) and 770 Nm of torque. With N Launch Control engaged, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds and tops out at 257 km/h. The refined battery management system, N Battery, intelligently optimizes thermal conditions for various driving styles—from drag races to endurance laps.

What makes this car truly remarkable is how well it controls its power. It isn’t just about raw speed. It’s about staying cool under pressure and delivering consistent performance lap after lap. The system reduces heat buildup and preps the battery faster, keeping the IONIQ 6 N always ready.

Driving Dynamics and Handling

This is not just another fast EV. The IONIQ 6 N rides on a completely redesigned suspension geometry. It features a lowered roll center, stroke-sensing electronic dampers, and widened fenders to handle serious cornering loads. The new chassis tuning enhances stability at speed without sacrificing comfort on the daily commute.

The swan-neck rear wing and aerodynamic tweaks aren’t just for show. They create real downforce. The car stays planted even when pushed to the limit. The drag coefficient of 0.27 proves that performance and aerodynamics can work hand in hand.

Driver Engagement and Control

Hyundai is reinventing the driving experience with systems like N e-Shift and N Active Sound+. The virtual gear shifts feel satisfyingly physical, especially when paired with the simulated engine note and performance-tuned audio feedback. You feel connected to the machine—every shift, every surge of power, every change in grip.

Drivers can customize everything from torque distribution to drift settings. Features like N Drift Optimizer, N Torque Distribution, and N Grin Boost aren’t just gimmicks—they’re tools for real performance control. The N Track Manager lets you analyze lap data, compare ghost runs, and get better with every lap.

Inside, the N Ambient Shift Light adds a unique visual rhythm to driving, highlighting perfect gear changes and helping you push harder with confidence.

Everyday EV Meets Racing DNA

Despite its track-ready personality, the IONIQ 6 N doesn’t forget that it’s a road car. It offers fast charging (10 to 80 percent in about 18 minutes using a 350 kW charger), a refined ride, and a spacious interior. New colors like Performance Blue Pearl bring a sharp identity to the sleek silhouette. It’s still an IONIQ 6—but this one wears its performance badge proudly.

The brake setup features 400 mm discs at the front and regenerative braking up to 0.6G, combining hardware and software to deliver endurance-level stopping power. Tire pressure and grip can be dialed in through customizable TPMS modes, ensuring you're in control whether you're on a track or stuck in traffic.

Niwwrd’s Perspective

The IONIQ 6 N is what we love to see in modern automotive design. It’s intentional. It’s bold. It doesn’t pretend to be something it’s not. This is engineering that respects drivers—while showing them what EVs are truly capable of.

At Niwwrd, we believe design should speak with clarity and act with purpose. The IONIQ 6 N does both. It doesn’t compromise. It connects.
