Apple has introduced the iPhone Air, the slimmest and lightest iPhone created so far. Announced on September 9, 2025, it combines ultra-thin design with powerful performance and refined materials.
Design and Display
The iPhone Air measures only 5.6 millimeters in thickness and weighs 165 grams. It uses a Grade 5 titanium frame with Ceramic Shield glass on both sides, offering improved durability. The front glass is three times more scratch resistant while the back glass is four times more crack resistant compared to earlier models.It features a 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion up to 120 hertz, Always-On mode, and peak brightness of 3,000 nits.
Performance and Battery
Powered by the A19 Pro chip, the iPhone Air delivers high performance with strong energy efficiency. It also debuts Apple’s new C1X 5G modem and N1 wireless chip, which support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread connectivity.The device promises all-day use, with up to 27 hours of video playback. Battery life can be extended to 40 hours with the MagSafe battery accessory.
Camera
On the back, the iPhone Air carries a single 48 megapixel Fusion Main camera that adapts to function like multiple lenses and offers up to two times optical quality zoom.On the front, an 18 megapixel Center Stage camera provides a wider field of view with automatic framing for calls and selfies.
Finishes and Availability
The iPhone Air will be available in Sky Blue, Light Gold, Cloud White, and Space Black. Pre orders begin on September 12 and availability starts on September 19.The starting price is 999 US dollars.
