Maserati is turning a new chapter in its performance legacy with the global debut of the MCpura, a high-performance GT coupé that fuses racing DNA with refined Italian elegance. Unveiled at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed, the MCpura redefines what a grand tourer can be—radical, powerful, yet unmistakably sophisticated.

An All-New Maserati for a New Era

The MCpura is not just another grand tourer; it’s Maserati’s bold reinterpretation of the GT segment. Sitting on an all-new modular chassis made from lightweight aluminium, it is purpose-built for performance and balance. The MCpura’s exterior design draws inspiration from its motorsport roots, while integrating clean, sculptural lines that signal a return to pure, elegant Italian design.

The car’s proportions speak volumes: long bonnet, short overhangs, and a fastback rear that accentuates its low-slung profile. Its drag coefficient of just 0.26 ensures both aesthetic purity and aerodynamic efficiency. Carbon fibre accents and sculpted fenders house a choice of 20- or 21-inch forged wheels, further highlighting its aggressive stance.

Heart of the Beast: Nettuno Twin-Turbo V6

At the heart of the MCpura lies Maserati’s acclaimed 3.0-litre Nettuno twin-turbo V6 engine. Delivering 542 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque, the MCpura sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds, with a top speed exceeding 310 km/h. Power is sent to all four wheels via an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission, paired with a new electronic limited-slip differential and dynamic torque vectoring system.

The MCpura features three primary driving modes—GT, Sport, and Corsa—each offering a distinct personality, from relaxed touring to track-ready aggression. Corsa Mode also enables launch control and full manual gear operation with no automatic upshift, giving drivers total control.

Suspension and Dynamics

Handling is a cornerstone of the MCpura’s development. A double-wishbone front and multi-link rear suspension setup, adaptive air springs, and next-generation Skyhook dampers deliver razor-sharp response and ride comfort. With rear-wheel steering and a 50:50 weight distribution, the car feels agile through corners and planted on the straights.

Crafted Interior, Connected Future

Inside, the MCpura embraces a minimalist, driver-focused cabin. A flat-bottom steering wheel, fixed gear paddles, and sculpted sport seats place the driver at the center of the action. Carbon fibre and aluminium trims accent a clean layout, while the curved 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch touchscreen offer intuitive control through Maserati's MIA infotainment system.

The cabin also integrates a 14-speaker Sonus faber 3D audio system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice assistant, and an optional head-up display. Even with its performance intent, the MCpura offers two rear seats and a usable boot, making it a practical, luxurious GT.

Launch Editions and Customization

To celebrate its debut, Maserati will offer two MCpura PrimaSerie Launch Editions: ‘Stile Audace’ in Volcano Black with bronze highlights, and ‘Coraggio’ in Bianco Audace Matte with contrast interior detailing. Each edition will be limited to 250 units and feature bespoke finishes, exclusive badging, and tailored interior palettes.

MCpura is also available through Maserati’s Fuoriserie customization programme, allowing clients to create one-of-a-kind configurations with unique colors, materials, and finishes.

Final Word

With the MCpura, Maserati has delivered a modern GT that refuses to compromise. It blends the brand’s race-honed engineering with timeless Italian design, carving out a unique space in the high-performance luxury segment. It's not just a new model; it’s a declaration that Maserati’s future is every bit as thrilling as its past.
