Škoda Vision O: Redefining the Estate for the Electric Era

Updated: Sep 9, 2025

Škoda has unveiled the Vision O concept, a forward-looking study that reinterprets the estate body for a new generation. Nearly a century after the brand began building estates, Vision O shows how the format can evolve within the framework of sustainable design. Its public debut will take place at IAA Mobility in Munich on 8 September 2025, accompanied by a global livestream on YouTube.

Exterior Design: Modern Solid Evolved

The Vision O continues the Modern Solid design philosophy, now taken to a more refined level. A steeply raked windscreen flows into a gently sloping roofline, while clean surfaces and taut proportions create an aerodynamic stance. Slim T-shaped lights, a sculptural shoulder line and a split roof spoiler add to the contemporary profile. With minimal decorative detailing, the form itself becomes the defining feature. This approach links back to the Octavia and Superb estates, while pointing firmly to the future.

Interior Concept: Clarity and Sustainability

Inside, Vision O introduces a cabin designed around simplicity, comfort and environmental responsibility. The designers describe it as “a-chromatic”—a space that is calm and free of distraction. Materials are sourced from circular production methods. Recycled flat-knit fabrics, plant-based microfibres, 3D-printed TPU headrests and recycled-leather flooring combine to create a tactile yet sustainable environment.

The interior layout prioritises function. Controls are intuitive, storage is practical, and the geometry of the cabin aims to give occupants a clear sense of order. It is a design that balances aesthetic purity with everyday usability.

A Concept of Circularity

The name Vision O reflects Škoda’s focus on circularity. The philosophy extends across material choices, production, and long-term functionality. The car embodies the company’s intention to integrate sustainability into every stage of design, construction and use. Vision O is presented not only as a new estate concept but also as a symbol of the brand’s shift toward a circular economy.
